THE MISSION OF THE MINNESOTA ASSOCIATION OF MARRIAGE AND FAMILY THERAPY BOARD OF DIRECTORS
To ensure that MAMFT remains a viable organization whose purposes include:
1. ensuring that MFT is a viable profession in Minnesota (by, for example, maintaining licensure, pursuing vendorship and appropriately marketing MFT and MFT's)
2. enhancing the "quality of professional life" for MFT's in Minnesota (by, for example, providing opportunities for training and camaraderie, facilitating communication among MFT's and recognizing excellence in the field)
3. enhancing the quality of life of families in Minnesota (by, for example, offering assistance to families in crisis via the Red Cross program, providing referrals, offering community education programs, co-ordinating with other organizations and self-help groups, such as PFLAG (Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays), Parents of Murdered Children, etc.)
